Konnichiwa, Tyson, Audrey, Charlotte, and Christine!
Last week, Yuki was gone for 3 nights and 4 days to Boy Scouts camp!
Our stake, Kobe Stake, organizes Boy Scouts, which we feel very blessed! Since the Church is still fairly small in Japan, some boys in Boy Scouts are the only kid in their wards. By coming to Boy Scouts, they are able to make friends with other members of the Church who are their age and support each other and grow together in the faith!
Cuddly Bear was very sad Yuki was gone... She waited for his return at genkan (a space at the front door where we take our shoes off before coming inside the house)...
She could not have survived it if it wasn't for Tag comforting her! Thank you, Tag!!
We hope Yuki has a great time at Scout Camp! Tyson and his dad went to Scout Camp at the beginning of the summer, and it was a very special encampment of nothing but Latter-Day Saint Scouts- over 2,000 of them from stakes all over the region! They had fun, but they had to do a LOT of walking and they were worn out by the time they got home. Hopefully Yuki's camp isn't so tough! :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. We love Cuddly Bear's name. And we're glad she cuddled our bear!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! Two thousands LDS Boy Scouts at a camp! That's a lot! According to Yuki, there were 6 kids and 5 leaders (they all took turns because of their jobs) at this camp. Yuki could not sleep at night, because he was excited and also because the sleeping bag was not that comfortable and the weather was too hot... He came home sleep-deprived and exhausted! haha.. But he did have a lot of fun with his friends. They also got to meet one of the biggest YouTubers in Japan who happened to be camping right next to them with his family!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's exciting! My kids love famous YouTubers, lol. And yes, coming home from scout camp sleep-deprived and exhausted is perfectly normal. :-)
