When you visit the Gold Coast, a trip to the beach is a must! The beaches are beautiful with white sand and blue water. Even though it is the middle of Winter we took advantage of the sunshine and headed to the beach. Dad was a bit sick and stayed home to rest but we went with Uncle Duane, Nan and the cousins.

Everyone wanted to get buried in the sand.
Arden, Amita and Tag made some very comfy (according to them) beds in the sand.
Tag helped Lizzie with some sandcastle building.
Being the middle of Winter can't keep us away from the water! It was actually quite warm and after having a splash around for a bit we were more cold getting out because of all the wind.
Amita had a bad experience last Summer where she was knocked over by a wave in the water. She has been a little bit scared of the waves since then but today she was running around with Tag saying, "I'm being brave!"
It was a beautiful day out. The beach is our family's favourite place to play!
What a beautiful beach! We love going to the beach too, but there has been a rash of shark attacks along the east coast of the U.S. this year so I'm not sure if we'll be going this summer...*gulp!*
ReplyDeleteTell Amita we are so proud of her being brave! Sometimes it is hard to get over it when something scary happens, but jumping right in and trying is the BEST thing to do!
We also wanted to say happy birthday to Lizzie! Teeny only has another week of being 2, but she says it's been fun. ;-) Hope Lizzie had a great day. :-)
